The main staircase was repalced in total shortly after we bought the house, the previous one being well past its best. Solid oak was used and the staircase taken from the ground floor to the second floor at its full 1.2m width. The large, spacious and light stairwell forms a feature of the house. There is a second staircase from the itermediate landing that leads to the inner back hall and the two North facing bedrooms.
